COVID19 Restrictions - What Do They Mean For Me?

Things are moving fast at the moment with the changing of the lockdown restrictions.  We are now back operating at full capacity for bouncy castle hire in Peterborough and Bourne, so if you are worried about what the rules might mean for your hire, we will summarise it all below.

What Is The Rule Of 6?

In England outdoor gatherings including parties in gardens are allowed (YAY!) with up to 6 people. Children of all ages are included in the count and it can be up to 6 unrelated people. This means that you can go ahead and hire a bouncy castle and invite five of your children's friends over to play. It might not be a full class party but it is still a nice treat and you will make the day that little bit more special. Social distancing is still required that means that you should remain 2-m distance from people who you don't live with and are not in your bubble. In England if it's not possible stay 2 metres apart you can stay one metre apart with extra precautions in place such as face coverings etc.

A modification to last year's rule of 6 is that for larger households, any two households can meet outside regardless of the amount of people involved. This also means that anybody within your support bubble is considered part of your household, so should you have grandparents who are part of your childcare support bubble they will be classified as the same household as you and you can meet with another separate household outside. Again this means that you can have a nice family gathering, we've had lots of family barbeques where people have hired a bouncy castle in Peterborough just to be able to give the children something to do and the adults had a nice catch up.

We are currently blessed with some fairly nice weather for April, so it isn't too much of a hardship being outside in the garden. Fingers crossed we have a nice summer so that we can all be outside enjoying our gardens, hiring bouncy castles and soft play for the children to enjoy safely.

What Changes On The 12th Of April?

There are no real changes due on the 12th of April that will affect family gatherings and meeting in gardens and elsewhere outside.  We are all very much looking forward to the non-essential shops opening as well as the much-loved barbers and hairdressers. I think the entire nation is desperately in need of a haircut at the minute! It will be lovely when the relaxation of rules on the 12th of April happens and we can pop to the pub for a relaxing drink in the beer garden but they won't have any affect on how many people you can have in your garden.

Obviously as a bouncy castle hire company we really don't have any control over who you have around to your house and what you choose to do, however we would ask that you act sensibly and follow the government guidelines. We don't want our bouncy castles to be used as an excuse to circumvent any government guidelines or COVID restrictions.
