Eid Celebrations in Peterborough

What a fantastic day today is.  We always love helping our customers with their Eid celebrations this time of year.  To all our Muslim customers and friends, Eid Mubarak.  To the others, we thought we would take the opportunity to explain this festival a little more.

The festival of Eid-Ul-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan (the fasting month).  Ramadan is the ninth month in the Islamic Calendar and the holiest, filled with extra prayer, fasting and charitable deeds. The month begins when the crescent Moon is sighted, and this can vary from country to country. It ends when a month later the crescent Moon is spotted - and the festival of Eid al Fitr begins.

Eid al Fitr is generally celebrated by attending mosque, visiting family and friends and indulging in traditional foods.  One such treat is a sugar cookie known as kahk al Eid, which often have stamped designs on the top and contain either pistachios, walnuts or dates.

It is always a real treat to supply entertainment for local families Eid parties.  The customers are always super happy, incredibly kind and there's sure to be lots of happy, giggling children everywhere.

As you can see from the youtube video below, this large family celebration was chosen to suit all ages on the family.  The inflatable slide for the older children, the disco bouncy castle for the middles and our beautiful climb and slide ball pool for the babies.    We think it's a really lovely celebration which brings together the whole extended family together for a yummy meal and play time.

We would like to take the opportunity to thanks all of our customers from today, we hope you had the most fantastic celebrations and we look forward to seeing you again for Eid-ul-ada in a couple of months.
